2021 Creative Wildfire Showcase

On November 9, 2021 we virtually hosted, Resist & Build: Creative Wildfire Showcase. This event was the culmination of a vision that began in the Fall of 2020, during some of the hardest days of the pandemic. We wanted to inspire people to take action and we also wanted to acknowledge the grief that people were experiencing, especially given the increasing calls for a "Return to Normal".

We decided to create a cultural strategy project inviting artists and cultural organizers to, "Resist a Return to Normal" by deepening their relationships and diversifying their organizing strategies. 19 amazing artists representing 14 projects were selected. Some are featured in this showcase to present their final works and engage in dialogue about what it means for artists and culture bearers to be agents of systems change.
